I didnt check but maybe someone knows, can this thing charge through usb?
amazon and ebay are selling usb chargers. according to a couple of websites that I have read, you cannot charge through usb unfortunately read more .
So where are people getting the information that the Nokia Nuron won't require a data plan? Most people here say it won't, but on the t-mobile forums there are people that are saying you do because it's a smartphone. The first link posted on the issue on these thread actually makes no mention of whether or not the phone will require a data plan.
it doesn't come with the cable that can charge through the usb.you have to buy it separately. I'm guessing it's cheaper on ebay here
When people ask if a phone can "charge through USB", they're typically asking if the phone can be charged through the USB port on the phone. Some phones allow you to hook up a mini-USB cable to the phone and charge with just that one cable. All reports so far say this phone cannot charge though its USB port.
Using the linked cable to use the USB port on your computer to connect to the power jack on you phone is nothing phone feature specific. Most (if not all) phones can use a converter to charge directly off the 5V 500 mA output on USB or some stepped down voltage on it.
Most of HTC phones can be charged from USB hub with AC adapter plugged*. Nokia is a bit tricky; however, HTC, motorola, Sony PSPGO AC adapters will charge with ANY microUSB cable. *must make the cable non-data capable (with center conductors disconnected). Tested with my N900.
would you be able to use the usb converter charger cable and the micro usb data cable at the same time? Apparently, the nokia nuron was already released last week for $70 according to the NYTimes.
A lot of people claim the phone will be released March 17th though I doubt it. If that was truly the date don't you think it would have appeared on TMO website by now? The HTC HD2 is already on there and that one isn't slated for a March 24th date, so perhaps the Nuron won't even be released this month?
It is already listed as being available at the end of the month on the nokia usa website. T-mo doesn't list all their upcoming phones on their website...sometimes it just shows up on the day it is released.Share This Post on Twitter Just Click Tweet Button
