Mobile phone ear cushion Earos

Because of their larger size and shape, desk phone handsets are usually more comfortable than mobile phones when held up to the ear. Designer Robert Potter wants to fix that for cellphones with his concept product, the Earos. This contraption clips onto your mobile phone, giving the user a padded surface to put his ear on. According to the product description, this puts the ear at a distance from the phone so you don't feel the heat from the handset. When not in use, the padded part can be flipped to the back, doubling as a display stand as for use on a flat surface.
Although it looks a little like a toilet seat at first glance, the Earos could be useful to some who find positioning their phones near the ear uncomfortable. However, it is merely a concept for now. More details and the designer's contact can be found at Yanko Design.
