connect my Nokia 6310i to my computer

I have a Nokia 6310i - yes I know it's a bit dated but it is extremely reliable and it does what I want it to do!I want to connect it to my laptop and use the software provided by Nokia (Nokia PC Suite).I have bought a cable which has a plug on one end for the phone and on the other is a female serial connector to take 9 pins. The port on my Dell laptop computer is a female 15 pin.I know I can buy a 9 pin to 15 pin adaptor but at the end of the day will this work? Isn't the port on the computer meant to take a monitor or something?I have established with Nokia that a USB connection cannot be made - it has to be via a serial port.Share This Post on Twitter Just Click Tweet Button
