How to increase the battery life on my Nokia E66?

I got Nokia E66 a month ago but it has very bad battery life even if I don't surf the Web on the handset or use it extensively. is there any way to increase the battery life or is there any other cell that enhanced battery time which I can utilize?

Answer:

The other third party battery limited warranty that comes with the phone doesn't cover damages due to the use of non-Nokia batteries. So that is a risk you will have to take if you choose to go that route.

Some tips on how you can extend your phone's battery life:

1. If you don't need something, switch it off. These include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. You can also configure the phone to access the data network only when needed and not always-on.

2. Lower your screen brightness. Switch on the ambient light feature if your phone supports it. This will help to automatically adjust the brightness level to match your surroundings. If you don't have such an option, you can manually adjust it such that it's not always on full brightness.

3. Switch off animations. Fancy graphics may be pretty to look at but they also zap battery life. If you don't need the phone to vibrate, for instance, when it's on a desk, switch that off as well.Share This Post on Twitter Just Click Tweet Button

How can I uninstall a theme on my Nokia e66?

How can I uninstall a theme on my Nokia e66?

How can i delete or uninstall themes on a Nokia E66? I try to do file manager and gallery but I couldn't find the theme files there. In the theme selection mode there's no option to delete. I want to install new themes but I'd like to remove some of the old ones to free some space.

Answer:

Go to Tools then App Manager to uninstall the theme. If the theme isn't there, then you may want to this try alternative method which worked for some users. Connect your phone to the PC using the Mass Storage mode. Look for a folder named "Private" -> "10207114" -> "Import". The themes are supposed to be stored here on the memory card. Go to "skn" in each of these folders (named by numbers) to find the theme you want to delete. If you can't open the file, then you'll have to use Notepad to open it. Once you locate the theme's folder, delete everything in that folder including the folder itself.

I don't have a Nokia E66 to try this method, so I can't say for sure it'll work. But it's worth a try. Do remember to do backups first, just in case anything goes wrong.Share This Post on Twitter Just Click Tweet Button
